There is something Jenn Hassin knows about paper and clay. Not just how it forms, tears or holds pigment, but what it remembers. Across the works gathered in Strength and Fragility, she returns again and again to the idea that surfaces carry histories, and that histories, pulped and pressed, reformed and fired, can become something new without forgetting what they were.

Join us for a weekend of workshops with NVAM Artist Fellow, Jenn Hassin, as she shares her creative process in turning clothing into paper and creating pulp paintings. Participants will be able to learn about paper-making processes, experience pulling sheets of paper (paper-making), and experience Jenn's process of pulp-painting.

Please note there will be two different workshops available.
